Limak with Kosovan students visit France
For quite some time now, 30 students from a number of faculties within the University of Prishtina, have started following lectures organized by Limak at the Prishtina’s International Airport ‘Adem Jashari’ within the programme Limak Aviation Services Institute, established three years ago.
Lecutres by ENAC Institute in France and Bogazici University in Turkey, the internships and the employment opportunity, are only some parts of the program organized by Limak with the University of Prishtina and a number of partners while, 10 best were selected to participate at the study visit in France.
‘We have established the Limak Aviation Services Institute aiming to develop professional and academic capacities of the local students. We are part of the community and we feel obliged to invest in it.’, says Mr. Haldun Firat Kokturk, CEO at Limak Prishtina International Airport ‘Adem Jashari’.
More than 90 students were part of the first three editions of Limak ASI and many of those, once the program was completed, became part of the Prishtina International Airport ‘Adem Jashari’.
‘Such programs are very special, as they develop specific skills, in accordance with the market. We are very happy to hear of our students’ successes and achievements within Limak ASI.’, says Prof. Ass. Dr. Teuta Pustina, Vice-rector for international relations at the University of Prishtina.
Throughout the program, the students are provided with a unique opportunity for an internationally accredited certification on airport management by ENAC Institute in France and Bogazici University in Turkey. After the certification, the students are given the opportunity to become part of the paid internship program at a number of departments within the Prishtina International Airport ‘Adem Jashari’ while the best ones are offered employment.
During the visit, the students were given the opportunity to visit a few cities and to see from close, the functioning and the operations at the Lyon Airport.
The establishment of the Limak Institute for Airport Services is amongst the main activites of the Limak group in Kosovo, after the establishing of the most modern terminal in the Balkans in 2013.
